Pumpkin coloring, Halloween games, costume parade through downtown for children grade school and under. Held at the Courthouse lawn. Carnival at 10 am, parade at 11 am.

Get into the holiday spirit! Compete for citywide bragging rights as the Vinton Parks and Recreation Department is conducting their 8th Annual "Deck the House" contest. Eligible houses must be within City limits. An address form and map with all registered addresses will be posted at www.vprdzone.com, Vinton Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page, and at the Vinton Rec Center on Friday, December 4.
Voting: A Deck the House Committee will be picking the winners!

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: Programs that are held at V/S school locations will be cancelled when school is dismissed early or cancelled for the day due to inclement weather. Individuals and teams will not be called when those cancellations occur.
Programs that are held at VPRD facilities, it is at our descretion whether or not we cancel due to inclement weather. We will notify you of those cancellations. If you are unsure about a cancellation, call the VPRD office at 319-472-4164 during open hours.
