What to wear

Please no cutoffs, towels or t-shirts in the water. Anyone going down the waterslide cannot have any metal, buttons, zippers, clasps or hard plastic on their swimsuits. Anyone wearing a swimsuit must pay for admission. People in street clothes may be admitted for free but must stay inside the first fence.

Pool Rental

Make a splash with your next party or group get-together! Reserve the pool during non-open hours for a unique, one-of-a-kind celebration. Call the VPRD assistant director at the office at 472-4164 for more information or to reserve a date. 
$125 per hour with NO waterslide; $140 per hour WITH waterslide


Group Lessons

Certified WSI’s (Water Safety Instructors) teach these group swim lessons that adhere to the American Red Cross standards.  Lessons are available from the beginner level through the advanced skill level. Two sessions are offered. Participants must be 5 years old by the start of class. Registration starts Monday, April 8! Please note: not the same registration day as private swim. COST: $30/session, CPU Sessions deadline: May 16, Benton & V/S Sessions deadline: June 2.
1st Session: June 10 -21, Monday-Friday

Aqua Tots

Certified WSI’s (Water Safety Instructors) will lead this fun interactive parent/child class. This will help introduce your little ones to the enjoyment of swimming. Only for children 3 years & under. Registration starts Monday, April 8! Max of 15 per session. 
COST: $25/session
1st Session: July 8 -24, Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:00 PM
2nd Session: July 9 - 26, Tuesdays & Fridays, 5:30 - 6:00 PM

Private Lessons

Recommended for those who prefer a more individually tailored lesson plan. Taught by Red Cross certified instructors in a 1:1 or 1:2 instructor-to-child setting, the time of these lessons are established on the mutual availability of both the instructor and the participant. Must be 4 years old for private swim!

$60.00    1 Participant: five 30-minute lessons
$75.00    2 Participants (same time): five 30-minute lessons
$15.00    *1 Participant: one 30-minute lesson
$20.00    *2 Participants (same time): one 30-minute lesson

Private Swim Lessons are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis beginning on April 6 at 10 am at the Recreation Center. The number of lessons accepted is limited and is determined by the number of available instructors on staff.  Forms will be available at the Recreation Center and online. We will not distribute to V/S School classrooms.
